A Small, Good Thing is a University of Mary Washington student-run online journal of literature and art conceived under the direction of Claudia Emerson for her class, Literary Journal: Professional Practice Publication.

Our journal seeks, through the creative mediums of visual art, audio art, poetry and prose, to provide a quiet retreat from day-to-day ennui, and to unify outstanding emerging artists.

Life isn’t always a piece of cake, but we here at A Small, Good Thing hope to provide for you a small escape, an artistic sanctuary and a place where you can remember and forget.
