loose blocks of cinder,
boards with nails,
a road sign on a steel pole,
an unplugged refrigerator,
empty bookshelves,
cracked computer monitors,
an overturned mahogany desk,
a stiff framed painting of fruit,
an amputated car door,
an amputated closet door,
a dripping water cooler,
flaky planks of plywood,
two torn mattresses,
a statue with no arms,
and my body still
do not make a wall.
